Smashbox Photo Finish More Than Primer Blemish Control is the latest addition to the collection of iconic foundation primers made by Smashbox.  I cannot wait to try this one.  Here’s some info straight from the website:

“Banish blemishes! This perfecting primer treats breakouts, provides oil-free hydration and keeps skin clearer over time. Clinical testing showed women had clearer skin in just 2 weeks. Contains 2% salicylic acid.”

“Sensitive skin? We’ve got you covered! This primer is breathable, so you can layer it under your foundation without worrying about breakouts.”

This is kind of genius! Every now and again I get some clogged pores from wearing makeup that later become breakouts. The salicylic acid in this primer will gently exfoliate you skin thus clearing your pores of makeup debris. I want this!

Smashbox Photo Finish More Than Primer Blemish Control retails for $42 and is available at

Smashbox Heat Wave Summer 2013 Collection

Smashbox Heat Wave Summer 2013 Collection is a small but cute collection. Consisting of only an eyeshadow palette and a lip gloss set is probably a smart way to go since so many of us are still trying to get caught up on all of the Spring makeup collections on our wishlists.

The Smashbox Heat Wave Eye Shadow Palette & Brush consists of ten eyeshadows (2 matte & 8 shimmer). Here are the shades from left to right starting with the top row:

soft matte peach

soft champagne beige

soft matte caramel

golden pink

pink beige with silver flecks

soft pewter grey

soft golden sea blue

shimmering purple taupe

deep golden brown

The Smashbox Heat Wave Lip Gloss Set consists of four vividly brillant shades. Here are the online swatches from left to right:

fuchsia flash

electric orange

VIP pink

copper remix

I can’t wait to set my eyes on this summer collection in real life. Smashbox does a great job of describing their shades of eyeshadows and lip gloss. Shimmering purple taupe? Electric orange? Pink beige with silver flecks? Yes, please!
